Tauroursodeoxycholic acid (TUDCA) is a liver aid. TUDCA is an amphipathic bile acid. It is the taurine-conjugated form of ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA). Humans contain trace amounts of TUDCA.
However, bear bile contains a lot of TUDCA. TUDCA has the effect of reducing cell apoptosis, helping to improve heart function, protecting eyes, and preventing retinal degeneration.
