Product Description:
Sodium polyacrylate, chemical formula (C3H3NaO2)n, is a new type of functional polymer materials and important chemical products, solid products for white or light yellow block or powder, liquid products for colorless or light yellow viscous liquid. It is prepared by polymerization of acrylic acid and its esters by aqueous solution. Tasteless, soluble in sodium hydroxide aqueous solution, precipitate in calcium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide and other aqueous solutions. It is often used as water treatment agent, brine refining and latex thickening, and can also be used as food viscosification and emulsification.
Application of Sodium Polyacrylate:
1. Applied in the field of the food.
2. As an electrolyte, it interacts with protein, changes protein structure, enhances food viscoelasticity, and improves tissue.
3. Due to the slow dissolution in water, it can be pre-mixed with granulated sugar, powdered starch syrup, emulsifier, etc., to improve the dissolution speed.
