Product Description:
Gastrodin is extracted from the root of rhizome gastrodiae , the place of origin is Yunnan. Rhizom gastrodiae extract gastrodin powder has good effect on sedative and hypnotic . Chinese traditional medicine rhizome gastrodiae used to treat dizziness, limb numbness, pain convulsions. Clinical application: treatment of vertebral basilar artery blood supply is insufficient , vestibular neuronitis , vertigo.
Rhizoma gastrodiae,perennial parasitic herbs, 60-100cm tall. The whole plant contains no chlorophyll. Tubers thick, oblong, ca.10cm long, 3 -- 4.5cm in diameter, with inconspicuous links. Stem cylindrical, yellow red. Leaves scaly, membranous, 1 -- 2cm long, veined, proximally short sheathed. Racemes terminal, 10-30cm long, yellow red flowers; Pedicels short, 2 -- 3mm long; Bracts membranous, narrowly lanceolate or linear-oblong, ca. 1cm long; Tepals crooked pot-shaped, mouth oblique, base lower side slightly inflated, apex 5-lobed, lobes small, triangular; Labellum 2/3 higher than perianth tube, 3-lobed, central lobe larger, its base in the perianth tube is short petiolate; Staminate column 5 -- 6mm long, apex with 2 small appendages; Ovary obovate, ovary stalk torsion. Capsule oblong to oblong-obovate, ca. 15mm long, shortly pedicelled. Seeds are many and fine, dust-like. Flowering from June to July, fruiting from July to August.
